As the summer is fast approaching, party-heads all over Europe are starting to wonder which festivals to check out. There are literally thousands of festivals scheduled for 2018. Hot sun, loud music, rivers of booze, and positive energy are the things all of these festivals have in common. Unfortunately, you can’t visit all of them. Still, you can attend the best ones. Earth Garden, Malta

This summer, between 1st and 4th June, Malta is going to be the art capital of the world. The Earth Garden festival is taking place at the Ta’ Qali National Park, where tens of thousands people will gather to celebrate arts, music and culture.

According to the festival organizers, Earth Garden is one of Europe’s hidden gems. You can’t expect to see A-list performers at this festival, but if you appreciate good atmosphere, this festival is for you. When it comes to music, this festival is focused on reggae, ska and folk.

Sziget Festival, Hungary

Sziget means island in Hungarian, which explains why the festival takes place on a river island in the milled of the Danube. Since 1993, the festival has been one of the most popular gatherings of fun loving people from all over Europe. In fact, more than 50 percent of Sziget visitors come from other countries than Hungary.

People from the United Kingdom, Netherlands, Germany, France, and other parts of Europe have been coming to Sziget to enjoy performances of some of the world’s biggest music stars, including Prince, David Bovie, Iggy Pop, Rihanna, and others. Glastonbury Festival, United Kingdom

This legendary festival has made its mark on history many times since it first took place in 1970. Glastonbury Festival was the spot where many legendary bands and artists made their best performances. In fact, it’s hard to find a famous rock star who hasn’t played at Glastonbury.

Exit, Serbia

Started as a revolutionary movement against dictatorship at the turn of the 21st century, Exit grew to become one of the most popular music festivals not only in Europe but the whole world. One of the reasons for its popularity is its location – Exit takes place at one of the oldest fully-preserved fortresses on the continent. Still, the amazing location wouldn’t mean anything if the festival hadn’t managed to attract big stars.

So far, the biggest names from the world of Brit pop have attended the festival, while in a recent couple of years the Dance Arena is attracting quite a lot of attention, with famous DJs playing techno till the morning.

Tomorrowland, Belgium

Without any doubt, Tomorrowland is the best festival in the world! One of the reasons for such a bold claim is the fact that once the tickets get sold out in a matter of minutes.
